Runner approaches the finish line of 505 mile challenge

Marc Ellis, an employee of Magnet in Darlington, is currently running the entire way from Land’s End to Darlington in aid of St Teresa’s Hospice!

Marc leaves Land’s End on his incredible journey

Marc began his 505 mile journey on 1st May when he left Land’s End, and is on track to arrive back in Darlington on Saturday 30th May.

At the time of writing, Marc has run almost 400 miles over 3 weeks, and has raised £8,774.13 – with more to come!

Throughout his planning and the run itself, marc has been supported by his employer, kitchen supplier Magnet. Along his route back north, Marc is visiting 16 Magnet branches in Truro, Plymouth, Exeter, Taunton, Bristol, Gloucester, Worcester, Lichfield, Coventry, Derby, Mansfield, Chesterfield, Rotherham, Leeds, Harrogate and finally Darlington.

Marc expects to arrive back in Darlington on Friday 29 May, and on Saturday 30 May he will be setting off from the Darlington branch of Magnet and running the final stretch of his journey into the town centre to the finish line, aiming to arrive at 12 noon.

Marc’s friends, family and supporters will join Hospice supporters, volunteers and staff to gather in Darlington Market Square on Saturday 30th May from 11:30am to cheer home this amazing fundraiser as he finally reaches his finish line after 505 miles and a solid month of running. Everyone is welcome to join in and help us recognise this amazing achievement.
