Oh yes they did!

Last Christmas the children (and adults!) of Darlington were treated to a magical pantomime at Darlington Civic Theatre, and were given the chance to help a charity at the end of every performance.

Cinderella & Britain's Got Talent star Ashleigh Butler spends time with Hospice patients

Staged by Qdos Entertainment, Cinderella ran throughout the festive season, and delighted audiences with performances from Britain’s Got Talent winners Ashleigh Butler and her dancing dog Pudsey, Coach Trip’s Brendan Sheerin, and X Factor Finalist Niki Evans, as well as a strong cast featuring Matt Edwards as Buttons, Alistair Hill as Prince Charming and Phil Corbitt and Danny Potts as the Ugly Sisters.

After each show, the Darlington Civic Theatre front of house staff held a charity bucket collection, and the cast implored their audience to be generous. Many of these collections were held in aid of St Teresa’s Hospice.

In total, the Darlington Civic Theatre pantomime raised £9,593.84 for our Hospice!

The staff of Darlington Civic Theatre announce the final total.

The cast and Theatre staff visited St Teresa’s Hospice to get an idea of how their fantastic support would help the people of Darlington and the surrounding area.

A massive “thank you” from everyone at St Teresa’s Hospice to the cast and crew of Cinderella, the Front of House team, and everyone else at Darlington Civic Theatre.
