Paws 4 A Cause

In 2023, we cared for 130 patients in our Specialist Inpatient Unit – help us continue to do so this year with the help of your four-legged friends in March.

In 2022, you took on the challenge to walk 107 km in March – 1 km for every patient we cared for. In 2023, why not take on the new challenge of walking 130 km for everyone we cared for in 2023.

130 km might sound daunting, but split up that’s only 4.2 km a day / 2.6 miles a day!

How you do it is up to you and your dog; you can do a little bit each day or do a marathon once a week.

Registration is £10 per household and we ask that participants aim to raise £30 in sponsorship. Everyone who takes part in Paws 4 A Cause gets a doggie bandana, a pawsome walking chart to tick off the k’s AND each person who signs up will be entered into a draw for a chance to win the ulti-mutt hamper for their doggo!

What you’re walking for:

Our care is free to access, but it’s not free to provide.

£10 can pay for oxygen for day for a terminally ill patient receiving care in our inpatient unit.

£20 can pay for one hour of care for a terminally ill patient in their own home.

£35 can pay for a child to have a bereavement counselling session with our Family Support team.

Help us to continue caring for people with terminal illnesses and their families by taking on our Paws 4 a Cause challenge and raising much needed funds in aid of the Hospice.

Time: 1st March 2024 to 31st March 2024

Cost: £10.00 per household registration, including 1 doggy bandana

£3.00 per 1 extra doggy bandana
