Yule have to be in it to win it!

An online yuletide raffle in aid of St Teresa’s Hospice will be drawn in just a matter of days!

The 12 Days of Christmas Raffle will be kinder to the environment and is expected to raise up to £20,000 for the charity, which serves the people of Darlington, South Durham and North Yorkshire.

The Raffle offers some amazing prizes including a grand prize of £1,000 cash, followed by £250 and £100.

Also up for grabs is an overnight stay with bed and breakfast for two at Headlam Hall Hotel, go karting for 10, three months’ gym membership for two people and a luxury food and drink hamper.

Stan Seaton Photography is offering a gift voucher and entrants can also win a Christmas food and drink hamper, Amazon gift voucher, along with toy and toiletries hampers.

Entries are £5 each and can be made at https://www.darlingtonhospice.org.uk/christmas-raffle/.

Entrants will receive an email acknowledgement confirming they are in the draw and the number of entries made.

The Hospice needs to raise £3m a year to provide free in-patient and community care for people living with life-limiting illnesses and their families in Darlington, South Durham and North Yorkshire.

St Teresa’s Hospice Chief Executive Jane Bradshaw said: “By going entirely online we save printing thousands of tickets and sending lots of post, which is more efficient and must be better for the environment.

“Multiple entries are allowed and every donation will help St Teresa’s Hospice to care for patients and families this Christmas.”

The sale of raffle entries will end at 9am on Wednesday December 22, or when all raffle numbers have been sold, up to a maximum 4,000 tickets with a total value of £20,000.

The prize draw will take place at 4.30pm on December 22 and winners will be notified directly.

Jane added: “The pandemic continues to impact our fundraising and with in-person activities still limited, the 12 Days of Christmas Raffle is a great way to carry on supporting the Hospice safely, whilst giving back to the community.

“Our community has been incredible at supporting us through these darkest of days and for the lucky winners, in a small way, this is a wonderfully festive means of saying thank you.”

The festive fundraiser is being supported by Headlam Hall Hotel, Teesside Karting, Physique Fitness, The Cheese & Wine Shop, Echo 3 Coffee House & Roastery, Stan Seaton Photography, Darlington Building Society, and Railpen.

Entrants must be over 18 and the full rules of the draw can be read on the website.
