Easter Fair 2023

Online entry for our 2022 Santa Run is now closed, but you can still sign up on the day. 

Join us from 10am at West Park Academy for on the day signup.

Join us at West Park Academy on Sunday 4th December, at 11am, for our family favourite festive fun run!

Every participant will receive a Santa suit, or a hat for children, and there is no entry fee for anyone under five. Dogs are welcome too! You can complete the circuit at your own speed, and as an early Christmas present you will receive a medal and refreshments when you cross the finish line!

Adults (16+): Early Bird £10* / Standard £15
Children (5-15): Early Bird £5* / Standard £10
Under 5s: No charge (must be accompanied by paying adult)

We charge an entry fee for this event so we can stage a great day for families in Darlington. This only covers the cost of putting on the event; to really make a difference, we need you to raise sponsorship money for St Teresa’s Hospice, and help us look after families this Christmas who need us. Thank you!

General Rules & Conditions

Important: When booking, please provide a contact number for emergencies.

In the event that the Darlington Santa Run cannot take place on Sunday 4th December 2022, every attempt will be made to arrange a new date. Refunds will only be made in the event that the event is unavoidably cancelled by the organisers (St Teresa’s Hospice).

Once accepted, your place cannot be transferred to any other person. If you cannot attend Darlington Santa Run, you must inform the organisers in writing as soon as possible; places are not transferable for reasons of health and safety.

All participants are responsible for their own medical condition. Neither the organisers of the event, nor our sponsors accept any liability for the health of the entrant.

By submitting your registration you confirm that you are in reasonable health and know of no medical reason why you may not participate in Darlington Santa Run and are aware that the organisers, their employees and volunteers cannot be held responsible for any personal injury or accident as a consequence of your participation in Darlington Santa Run.

Neither the organisers, nor the sponsors have any liability in relation to Darlington Santa Run. The organisers and the sponsors of the event, to the extent permitted by law, exclude liability for any loss, damage, injury, or consequential loss suffered by any entrant personally or to their property as result of their entry to or participation in this event.

Darlington Santa Run is not a competitive event and you don’t have to be an experienced runner to get involved, but we do recommend you go for a few runs of a similar length in the weeks leading up to Darlington Santa Run.

By taking part in this event you are committing to raising money for St Teresa’s Hospice. You are not allowed to give your fundraising to any other charity (directly or via other fundraising websites). You are not permitted to use any of the sponsor money that you raise in relation to your entry in Darlington Santa Run to pay for your expenses. By completing the entry process you are agreeing to fully abide by the rules of the event as they are communicated to you in advance and at the event.

By applying for a place in Darlington Santa Run you are entering into a contract with St Teresa’s Hospice (Darlington & District Hospice Movement) Registered Charity No 518394.

Photographs and filming will be taken at this event and for publicity purposes. If you do not wish for your image to be used you must inform the organisers of the event.

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

We want all supporters of St Teresa’s Hospice to be safe. You must adhere to the current Government guidelines around COVID-19 at all times!

Young supporters (under 16 years)

Participants under 16 will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult. There is no minimum age for this event, so little Santas are welcome to run with (or be carried by) their families too!

Dogs

Dogs are permitted on the Elf Amble ONLY. Please clean up after your dog.
