Moonlight & Memories Walk
Walk in memory of those we have loved and lost as our Moonlight & Memories Walk returns for 2024.
Join us in South Park on Friday 11th October 2024 from 6.30pm, as we walk for those no longer with us.
Every participant will receive a fundraising pack with a t-shirt and glow wands included and after the walk you’ll receive a hot drink to warm up!
When choosing your T-shirt, we recommend that you size up and wear it over your coat, as it may be cold on the evening.
The walk is approximately 3.8 km and should taker 45-60mins to walk
depending on your speed.
By taking part in Moonlight & Memories, you’re remembering those most loved and are helping make a real difference to the support St Teresa’s can give to people in our area.
Online registration for this event is now closed, however you can still register on the night! Please arrive at 6.30pm to register at the cafe/education centre in South Park.

We rely on the generosity of our community to help fund our specialist care. By taking part in this fantastic event, you’ll help us continue to be there for families when it matters most. Please help the event be the biggest and best yet by generating as much sponsorship as possible and by asking your friends, family, and colleagues to join us!
- £5 could pay for a meal in our Inpatient Unit.
- £10 could pay for a day of oxygen for a patient.
- £20 could pay for an hour of care for a patient in their preferred place.
- £35 could pay for a session of counselling for a bereaved family.
Under 18’s welcome on this walk but must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Under 5’s can attend the event for free.

By submitting an online registration, you confirm that you and your team have read and fully accept the conditions of entry to Moonlight & Memories 2024 event and accept all of the rules and conditions.
The event will be held in South Park, Darlington. Whilst the majority of the walk will be along paths, part of it will be across grass/a field. An alternative route is available for those unable to walk across grass along Clifton Road.
Dogs are welcome to join in on the walk!
When selecting your T-shirt size, we recommend you size up, and as it will be cold to wear it over your outwear / coat!

Please note, there may be flashing lights at this event, and there will be flash photography.
You may be photographed or videoed at the event. By registering for the event and entering into this agreement, you grant St Teresa’s Hospice full rights to use the images resulting from the photography/video filming, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for fundraising, publicity or other purposes to help achieve the charity’s aims. This might include (but is not limited to), the right to use them in their printed and online publicity, social media, press releases and funding applications.
In the event that Moonlight & Memories cannot take place on Friday 11th October 2024, every attempt will be made to arrange a new date.
Refunds will only be made in the event that the event is unavoidably cancelled by the organisers (St Teresa’s Hospice).
All participants are responsible for their own medical condition. Neither the organisers of the event, nor our sponsors accept any liability for the health of the entrant.
The organisers and the sponsors of the event, to the extent permitted by law, exclude liability for any loss, damage, injury, or consequential loss suffered by any entrant personally or to their property as result of their entry to or participation in this event.
You are not permitted to use any of the sponsor money that you raise in relation to your entry in Moonlight & Memories 2024 to pay for your expenses.
By completing the entry process you are agreeing to fully abide by the rules of the event as they are communicated to you in advance and at the event.
How do I pay in my sponsorship after the event?
St Teresa’s Hospice can only continue caring with the fantastic support of the local community. You can pay your sponsorship online via the Donate form (leave a note to say what it is for) by Bank Transfer, cheque or in person. You should have all these details in sponsorship pack, but please contact the events team for any further information or help.
Young supporters (under 18 years)
Participants under 18 will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult if you choose to complete a sponsored walk.
