Safeguarding in Practice
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
Our comprehensive safeguarding system comprises policies, procedures, support and advice via designated trained safeguarding officers.
We work in partnership with the Local Authority Safeguarding Team to ensure best practice.
Processes in place include:
- Procedures to identify, respond to and report concerns
- Standards of safe practice
- Safe recruitment procedures e.g. Identity checks, DBS checks (Disclosure and Barring Service) and references.
Our policies govern the work undertaken with children, young people and vulnerable adults who use any of the Hospice’s services.
