Festive Fun Run
Our beloved Santa Run has had a refresh for 2024.
We invite the whole family to take part in our new and improved Festive Fun Run!
Join us at West Park Academy on Sunday 1st December, from 10:30am, for a 5km family favourite Festive Fun Run!
This year, we invite the whole family to take part in Festive Fundraising!
We want you to dress up in your favourite Christmas costume, complete the run at your own pace, making this a family tradition as you help fundraise for St Teresa’s Hospice. There will also be fantastic stalls there on the day, a visit from Santa himself and we would love for as many people to turn up and support our runners.
As an early Christmas present, you will receive a medal and refreshments when you cross the finish line!
Our Online form is now closed, but you can still take part by signing up on the day, or calling the fundraising team on 01325 254321.
Adults (16+): £10 | Children (5-15): £8 | Under 5s: Free
Family Ticket (2 adult 2 child): £28
Groups of 8 or more receive a 20% discount. Call us for more information on 01325 254 321 and ask for the Fundraising Team.
Get some friends and family together, have a memorable start to Christmas while helping your local Hospice too!
We charge an entry fee for this event so we can stage a great day for families in Darlington and the surrounding areas.
This only covers the cost of putting on the event; to really make a difference, we need you to fundraise for St Teresa’s Hospice and our festive fundraising pack has everything you need to inspire you to help us look after families this Christmas who need us.
Taking part in our Festive Fun Run is just one way you can help with Fundraising this Christmas. Download our full Festive Fundraising pack below and help us to provide care to local families this Christmas.
The Festive Fun Run is family friendly and fun, so whether you are a seasoned runner or a beginner, the course should be okay for you! Please take your time and complete the course at your own pace. If you feel you need to return early – please do! The Festive Fun Run is 5km though you can complete half and do 2.5km. We encourage you to take your time and complete the course at your own pace.
Before and after your run you will have time to enjoy our fun stalls and grab a drink or bite to eat.
A special thank-you to everyone who is helping to support this event, including our sponsors, Rotary Darlington and Round Table who has invited Santa with his sleigh.
Not running? You can fundraise anyway, request your pack below.

Yes, well behaved dogs are welcome. Please keep dogs on a short lead and be respectful of other participants and spectators. Please clean up after your dog.

We have changed our Santa Run this year to be the Festive Fun Run, and we aren’t providing Santa Suits. This is to be more sustainable and better for the environment. Our Hospice charity shops are a great place to source novelty jumpers, sequined numbers and festive fancy dress.
Can I bring spectators?
Yes! We would love for as many people to turn up and support our runners as possible. There will also be stalls for everyone to browse before and after the run.
Can I sign up on the day?
Last minute sign ups on the day will be possible, but it would really help us to anticipate numbers if you signed up before hand!
