Join us for some festive cheer at our Festive Fun Run 2025 and kick-start the Christmas season!
Get the whole family involved with festive fundraising this year!
Dress up in your favourite Christmas costume, whether you’re an elf, reindeer or Santa himself, and enjoy a fun-filled morning as you’re sponsored to run, jog or walk our 5k route.

Before registering, please read our terms and conditions below. By submitting an online registration, you confirm you have read and fully accept the conditions of entry to Festive Fun Run 2025 and accept all the rules and conditions.
General Rules and Conditions
- By registering to participate in Festive Fun Run you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
- They are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and incorporate standards set by the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Fundraising Practice.
- Warning: Please note there is flash photography and flashing lights at this event.
- All participants must register in advance and provide accurate, up-to-date information.
- Entrants under 18 must have parental/guardian consent and be accompanied by a responsible adult throughout the event.
- Registration places are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- As this is a charitable event, you are expected to raise sponsorship in aid of St Teresa’s Hospice.
- All funds raised must be for the exclusive benefit of St Teresa’s Hospice and submitted no later than 30 days after the event via the methods set out in our fundraising pack.
- Please ensure that all donations and/or sponsorship forms are returned to St Teresa’s Hospice so that we can claim Gift Aid where eligible.

- All participants take part at their own risk. It is your responsibility to ensure that you or your child (in the case of parents or legal guardians of child participants) are physically capable of completing the event. The event is not competitive, and we recommend training runs before the day.
- You should consult your doctor before registering if you have any condition that may affect your ability to participate safely.
- You must comply with all instructions from event staff and marshals and observe any signage and safety briefings.
- You are also responsible for ensuring that you are wearing appropriate attire (including footwear) when taking part, taking into account the nature of the route, the weather forecast and the terrain involved.
- St Teresa’s Hospice reserves the right to:
- Refuse entry or remove any participant for safety or behavioural reasons.
- Modify or cancel the event if conditions are deemed unsafe (e.g., adverse weather or public health risk).
- Please be respectful of local residents while you are on your route, which includes parking and not making any excessive noise.
- St Teresa’s Hospice, its employees, volunteers, and agents accept no liability for injury, loss, or damage suffered by participants, unless caused by our negligence.
- Participants are responsible for any property or personal belongings brought to the event.
Well-behaved dogs on leads are permitted.
Children must be supervised at all times by a parent/guardian.
- Photographs and video footage will be taken during the event and used by St Teresa’s Hospice for promotional and reporting purposes (including social media and fundraising materials).
- If you do not wish to appear in media content, please let us know at registration or inform an event official on the day.
In the event of cancellation by the Organiser, you will be notified as soon as reasonably possible.
Registration fees are non-refundable unless we cancel the event.
Your personal data will be processed in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and our Privacy Policy, available at www.darlingtonhospice.org.uk/privacy-notice/.
Information will only be used for event administration and to communicate with you about this event and relevant fundraising activities.

Frequently Asked Questions
We want the whole day to be fun and festive for all of our runners!
Registration opens at 10:30am, while the run will begin at 11am. Stalls and refreshments will be open from 10:30 to after all the runners have finished and enjoyed their well deserved drink and mince pie.
The Festive Fun Run is approx. 5km though you can complete half and do 2.5km. We encourage you to take your time and complete the course at your own pace.
The Festive Fun Run 2025 is not a competitive event and you don’t have to be an experienced runner to get involved.
Yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome.
Please keep all dogs on a short lead and be respectful of other participants and spectators. Please clean up after your dog.
If they also want to come in a Christmas costume, we’d love to see it!
in 2024, we changed our Santa Run to be the Festive Fun Run and we aren’t providing Santa Suits any more.
This is to be more sustainable and better for the environment. Instead we want you to come in your favourite festive costume, jumper or anything else you already have! Our Hospice charity shops are a great place to source novelty jumpers, sequined numbers and festive fancy dress.
Yes please!
We would love for as many people to turn up and support our runners as possible. There will also be stalls for everyone to browse before, after and during the run.
Last minute sign ups on the day will be possible, but it would really help us to anticipate numbers if you signed up beforehand!
If you want to sign up, head to the main hall in West Park Academy, where our volunteers at the registration desk can help you.
