Health Care Assistants

St Teresa’s Hospice, Darlington is seeking Health Care Assistants to join our Hospice at Home team.

If you are passionate about palliative care and want to be part of an effective team that makes a real difference within the community, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Hours: We have multiple vacancies for applicants looking to work between 2 and 4 x 7.5 hour shifts per week on a 7 day rota; usual working pattern 7.5 hour early or late shifts on a rota basis, 06:45-14:15, and 14:00-21:30.

St Teresa’s Hospice Band 3: Full time equivalent £24,049.00 – £24,975.00 per annum plus enhanced rates for unsociable hours.

Head of Fundraising and Marketing

We are looking for a driven and passionate individual to be responsible for the effective leadership and management of our fundraising and marketing functions.

The Head of Fundraising and Marketing is part of the Hospice’s leadership team, reporting directly to the Chief Executive. This post is responsible for the effective management and operation of the following functions and for leading the team to achieve financial targets. 

The Income Generation Team incorporates marketing, fundraising, events, communications, trust and grant applications and fundraising/supporter data management. This is supported by a large team of volunteers.

Hours: We are ideally seeking a full-time candidate for 37.5 hours per week; usual working pattern Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
We are open to considering part-time applications for a minimum of 22.5 hours per week over 3 days.

You will need to flexibly outside of normal working hours on occasion, as required to facilitate and attend events, including evening and weekend working.
St Teresa’s Hospice Band 7: Starting salary £40,879 per annum (pro-rata for part-time candidates). Salary range for role, subject to ongoing professional development: £40,879 – £51,650 per annum, pro rata.

Retail Support Manager

is is a key role within the Hospice retail operation, working across our network of charity shops providing cover in the absence of the Shop Manager ensuring the smooth running of the shop and high level of customer satisfaction, contributing towards income generation

Location: Various shop locations around Darlington, Thirsk and occasionally Leyburn
Hours: Usual working pattern of 22hrs per week, worked over 4-5 days out of Monday to Sunday on a rota basis,
covering between usual shop opening hours of 10am to 4pm. You must be able to work Saturdays and occasional
Sundays.
St Teresa’s Hospice Band 2: WTE £23,292.00 per annum (pro rata to hours contracted). Actual Salary £13,664.64.
