Our wonderful Volunteers are essential to the work of St Teresa’s Hospice – we simply couldn’t do what we do without them!

Volunteering for the Hospice helps us to make a difference to patients and their families lives.

There are volunteering opportunities across the Hospice in all areas – from Healthcare and Counsellor Volunteers, to Fundraisers and retail.

Current Volunteering Opportunities

Volunteer Workforce Support Administrator

St Teresa’s Hospice, Darlington is seeking a volunteer to provide admin support to the Workforce Development team.

You should be able to commit to six hours per week, either two half days or one full day between Monday and Friday.

Ward Administrator

Volunteer Ward Administrators are based within the Inpatient Unit and play a key role in supporting the nursing team. Ward Administrators deal with visitors, phone calls and administrative duties.

Volunteer Visitor

This role, within the Community Hospice team, provides support to socially isolated people who are living with a life-limiting illness by offering companionship and a listening ear, as well as aiding carer respite.

We have created a new and exciting hospitality role that involves greeting and directing visitors, serving refreshments and undertaking some administrative tasks.

Volunteer Complementary Therapist

St Teresa’s Hospice, Darlington is seeking volunteer applicants to work with our complementary therapy team.

Minimum commitment 4-6 hours per week. Multiple posts available.
