Preparing & Training

For the full experience, we recommend runners wear a plain white t-shirt, so that the paint shows up as they are completing the course. It’s also important to wear comfortable trainers with enough support, and we recommend a change of clothes for after the Rush!

Rainbow Rush is designed to be family friendly and fun, so whether you are a seasoned runner or a beginner, the course should be okay for you! Please take your time and complete the course at your own pace. If you feel you need to skip a paint station or obstacle that’s fine; you can follow the path around them.

While the Rainbow Rush is for families, we have an age restriction in place to keep everyone safe. Under 5’s will not be permitted to run the route, and children aged 5-16 will need to be accompanied by an adult taking part.

On the day

Before and after your run you will have time to enjoy our fun stalls and grab a drink and bite to eat.

You are welcome to bring spectators but they must stay within the defined spectator area and not enter the run arena. Please follow our instructions and the instructions of our marshals on the day.

The paint is water soluble, so whatever can’t be dusted off should come off after a good shower. If it stains, it should come out after a few washes. However, just to be on the safe side we recommend you wear something you don’t mind getting dirty.

If you WANT to keep your paint stains as a souvenir, you can spray your clothes with vinegar and iron them before washing which should help them set!

We will be running from 10am.

What are the paints made of?

Should I bring anything with me?
Bring water. Bring a camera – the corn-starch will not hurt it, but you might have to wipe off the lens a few times.
